Residential Pool. I don't know if I should wire for 230 or 115 and where I should hook up the existing wires (two blue and one green). I know the green should go to the ground but not sure where the two blue should go.

Hi, Mike. To wire this motor correctly, you will need to determine which voltage you have. You can use the timer model or the breaker type. Once you've determine the voltage, use the wiring diagram which is located on the motor.

Hi Phililp, If you have a B2852 Motor then you would want to use the 3/4 HP Century B2852 Motor as a replacement. If you wanted to increase the HP on your pump from 3/4 HP to 1.5 HP then you could use this motor but you will need to also replace your impeller from a 3/4 HP impeller to a 1.5 HP impeller.

Hi Blake, When replacing your motor you need to match the True HP (THP) so you will actually need the PL2859 2 HP Motor which has the same True HP of your motor shown in the photo 2 HP x 1.1 Service Factor = 2.2 THP. Hi Josh, Based on your last photo it looks like you will need the PL1152 Replacement Motor your motor actually has a motor mounting plate on it which is removed and once removed the motor is round. Please see the parts breakdown of the Hayward Super Pump which is similar.

I have a Pentair 1/2HP ..60Hz 1Ph kW..pump model WFE-2/ 011511. Bought new less than 2 years ago..now making a very loud high pitch sound. Have been told by my pool guy that it needs to be replaced. Seriously?? not even 2 years old? My first pump was a Centurion that lived for 22 years. What do you suggest as a replacement..that will last more than 2 years?

Hi Sara, You will need the Century B2845 1/2 HP Replacement Motor Century makes a good motor and should be happy with that. You will also need a Whisperflo Tune Up Kit when replacing your motor.

You can use either single speed motor models PL2854, B848 or B2854. In order to confirm the correct main shaft seal, you will need the serial number of the front pump housing. Please click here to view those seals at key 5 and the serial number ranges to confirm the one you need.

I'm missing the part number but will this work to replace my Hayward shown in the photos? I see a 1.5HP; 1.60 SF 2.40 THP on top of the motor.
Your pump model is a Hayward TriStar 1-1/2 HP, Energy Efficient, Full Rated, so the B854 is not going to work for you. The p-to-date motor replacement suited for that pump is the SQ1202.

For the most part, the PL2854 is a straightforward replacement for the C48L2PA105C5 (USQ1152). The PL2854 is a 56Y motor, which means the barrel of the motor is wider, so you may need to remove the small rubber pad or bumper that sits under your motor.

Yes, you could replace the USQ1102 with the B854, but you would need to change the impeller and possibly the diffuser to see any actual change in water flow. But if your system was running fine with the 1HP, I would be hesitant in trying to switch it up.

The uprated PL2854 is not compatible with your 0-177451-03, 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Full Rate EE Motor. The 854 is a less powerful motor and will not be able to turn your pump's impeller.

You can put a voltmeter on the two incoming wires to determine the voltage. Or if the wires are still hooked up to the Pentair motor then you could take a photo and post back to this comment by clicking reply and we should be able to tell to which voltage your old motor was wired.

Hello - your JHP1.5 Jandy Stealth uses a fullrated motor, this means you would need the B128 - 1 HP Round Flange 56J Full Rate EE. The JHP and JHPU models uses the GOKIT77 gasket kit.

The Century 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2854 is the single-speed replacement. The Variable Speed (California Title 20 Compliant) is the V-Green 1.65 HP Round Flange 56J Variable Speed Motor - ECM16CU (for 208-230 Volts Only) The Tune-Up Kit Pentair SuperFlo/Sta-Rite SuperMax - GOKIT78 will be used for either motor, add the Pump Shaft Seal Heavy Duty (Saltwater Pools) - PS-3867 with the order of the Gokit78 for salt pools. The 340039 is designed for 230 or 115 Volts, the SuperFlo VS Variable Speed Pump 115/230V - 342001 can be used to replace it.

Actually, the direct replacement motor will be the model B854 that you can view by clicking here as this motor is no longer available. Also, in order to locate the correct seals, we will need to know the model name or number of the front pump housing wet end that the motor attaches to.
