I have (I think) a Hayward C12002 filter system on my pool, the pressure gauge looks like this one but it also has two extra levers. The needle appears to be stuck and I feel I should replace the gauge. Will this one fit my filter

Old guage not reading pressure

Written on 6/21/2021 by Guest

Removed top of filter housing and removed old guage with pliers to loosen first, then adjustable wrench to unscrew. On new guage, first covered threads with thread tape, screwed on housing. Difficult part is tightening guage in housing because theres a tight space to fit a wrench between guage and housing, so finished tightening with pliers with thin jaws. Otherwise, sound repair and new working guage.

The replacement pressure gauge was not working properly.

Written on 1/17/2021 by Guest

After accidentally breaking the glass on my pressure gauge, I had replaced my pressure gauge with one from a local store. It was very difficult to read as the numbers went too high, causing them to place the numbers closer together. I replaced this while replacing a cracked filter head.

Very easy installation.
First, unscrew the old pressure gauge by hand.
Next, take new gauge and put teflon tape on threads.
Then hand turn the new gauge on. Be careful not to over tighten.
