Hi Jean, We don't have confirmation that this pressure gauge will work on your filter. Here is the original pressure gauge that came with your filter and which we recommend - Sta-Rite Replacement Pressure Gauge

Reply
Hi Mary, If you need the o-ring that goes between the Valve and the Filter Tank then you will need this Tank O-Ring if you are needing the Spider Gasket which goes on the inside of the valve then you will require this Waterway Spider Gasket w/ Diverter

I have a PAC-FAB PF50. If it's not too much trouble, I'd like a parts list for:
main O-ring (22in)
silicone for O-ring
bleeder valve below bottom-mount gauge
All laterals
Sand needed
I'm getting a lot of sand in my pool so it looks like I have a bad lateral or two. Since I have to open it up I thought I'd do a rebuild as the bleeder is rusty, the O-ring was hard to seal last time I opened it and the sand is about five years old.
You can view the parts diagram for the Pac Fab PF Stainless Sand and see the parts listing beneath it.

Hello Phil- Yes the Bottom Mount Pressure Gauge 0-60 1/4" NPT (101D-204D) 4726-0 will fit your Hayward S270T.

My 0-60 pressure gauge is defective on my Hayward sand filter. I have a 0-100 pressure gauge that fits. Will it be sufficient?
Reply
Hi Jim, You 0-100 gauge can work if the thread size is the same. You filter only has a max operating pressure of 50 PSI so no need to use a gauge that goes to a 100.

What is the normal reading
Reply
The "normal reading" for a pool varies greatly from pool to pool due to equipment and plumbing packages. But, most pools should clock-in at 10 and 15 psi during during normal operation.
Reply
Why do they call it bottom mount? when in reality it gets mounted on the side of the multi port valve.
Reply
It is called a " bottom mount " because if you look at the gauge like a clock, the threaded part that " mounts " into the filter is at the six o'clock position or the " bottom " of the gauge / clock.

I have a Super Flow 100 lb. Canister Sand Filter and the Model is a PF-35. The part # for the pressure gauge used to be 15-2047. I also have a bottom gauge which I need to replace, which I cannot find a part # for. So I would need to gauges, would this one fit? Thanks Doug.

Hi Doug, Yes this would be the proper gauge for your PF-35 sand filter and should work for both of the gauges you need to replace.

Will this fit s310s 500lb Hayward sand filter?
Reply
If you have the multiport that came with the filter ( either a SP0710X62 or SP0715X62 ) then yes, this would be the correct gauge for this application.
Reply
This says bottom mount, but mine mounts to the side. Any problem?
Reply
The term " bottom mount " simply means that the threaded part is on the bottom. If mounted to a side connection, it"s face will simply point straight up. If you wish for the face to point out, you would need a rear mounted pressure gauge. Either will work.

What should this pressure gauge 101d-204d read?
Reply
These pressure gauges run different pressures based on the specifications of the system but in general a pressure gauge can run anywhere from 5 psi up to 20 psi. The higher the pressure typically means there is something to be trouble shot in the system. If the gauge does not read anything when the pool pump is running, or is damaged then it needs to be replaced.

I am looking for a pressure gauge that fits a Hayward Sand Master Filter System (SM1700T or SM1900T.) Also can you recommended the amount and type of replacement sand?
Reply
This would be the correct pressure gauge for the Hayward Sand Master Filter System. The sand you would need is #20 Silica sand also called Pool Filter Sand, the amount of sand you would require would be dependent on if you have the SM1700T or SM1900T the label on your filter tank should have one of the model #'s notched out. If you have the SM1700T you require 100 lbs. of sand and the SM1900T requires 150 lbs. of sand. We also carry all of the parts for the Hayward Sand Master filter system

Adjustable Wrench
Removed old pressure gauge by turning it counter-clockwise.
Put plumbers tape on the threads of the new pressure gauge.
Inserted the new pressure gauge by turning it clockwise by hand for 1-2 revolutions.
Finished tightening the gauge with a wrench as the instructions suggested.

This is a good pressure gauge and easy to install to your pool filter. All I had to do is get a wrench to loosen up the old pressure gauge (only because it had been on there so long), then I took the old one off and put the new one on. But before I put the new one on I put plumbers tape on it to prevent leaking.

Unscrew the old non- working pressure gauge. Apply Teflon tape on male threads of the new gauge. Screw in the new gauge. Only hand tighten. Did not. require any tools.
Note: one thing I would like to mention here. On My previous gauge, the dial was vertical when installed. In the new gauge, dial is horizontal when gauge is installed on the top of the filter. Vertical dial was little easier to read but after all, the new gauge shows pressure. I can live with it.

Shopped around, InYoPools had the best generic gauge for the best price.
Removed old gauge. Installed new generic gauge, but found that it would not seat /tighten correctly into the plastic pressure relief valve. Pressure relief valve plastic female fitting was stripped which did not allow the new brass generic gauge to seat properly.
Purchased new pressure relief valve assembly with new gauge from IYP. All perfect once again

Pros: High quality unit; very legible
Cons: None
Over the years I had purchased several lesser quality gauges from other places, which never lasted very long before they failed. This gauge is high quality and was very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone needing a replacement.

(4 out of 5 stars) Gauge works but not sealed tight enough to keep rain out.

Had to replace pressure gauge on the filter egg. Appears to work great, but only giving 4 stars because the seal around the front on the face lets water in. The white face has already started to rust. We’ve had a good deal of rain, and I was bummed to see this product leaking.

I used this gauge to measure the pressure on my pumps return, so that I could calculate the dynamic head. There’s formulas available online. I used to it to make measurements before and after some plumbing improvements. Works great and seems accurate.
